There are so many things to occupy your time here at The Longhorn River Ranch you will wish you had more hours in the day. Imagine enjoying a hike or bike ride along the trails and having a picnic on our highest peak spotting zebras and all type of exotics along the way.  The possibilities are endless and the memories are yours to keep. 

Safari Jeep Tours

JJJJJ   J  JTEMPRORARILY OUT OF SERVICE.  In addition to all the great amenities and activities that come with your vacation rentals at the Longhorn River Ranch, we can arrange guided jeep tours providing your group with an interesting way to see the ranch and its wildlife with a knowledgeable guide to answer all your questions.  See the ranch in style on a “Safari” Jeep ride through the hills. You will have an opportunity to observe and learn about the many species of wildlife that reside at Longhorn River Ranch, many of which are endangered or extinct in their native habitats.   Bask in the impressive views of the Texas hill country. 

Jeep Tours are $100 per hour per group of up to five adults or six mixed adults/children.  

All Tours Must Be Scheduled In Advance and are subject to availability.


 Pickleball, Basketball and Tennis Court

Challenge your friends or family no matter what time of day on our fully lit pickleball, basketball and tennis court.   Two pickleball courts.  Please bring your own rackets and balls.





Swimming and Canoeing

Cool off after a long hike with a dip in Onion Creek or relax on the creek with our canoe.   We also have a nice relaxing pool for Main House Guests, along with a hot tub.


Hiking and Biking

Relax in the Texas wilderness on this ranch with many miles of trails for all experience levels.  Hike to the top of the central hill where you will find a huge fire pit and sitting area perfect for a picnic, with breathtaking views of the hill country for miles around.  

      Fishing

There are so many places to plop down and relax with your fishing pole along the mile and a half of Onion Creek Running through the ranch. The creek is fully stocked with Bluegill, Sunfish, Largemouth Bass, Hybrid Bass and Channel Catfish.  To sustain our fish population, all fishing is catch and release.





       9-Hole Disc Golf Course

Test your skills on our 9-hole disc golf course. With holes set up from beginner to challenging.  What better way to practice your skills than on your own private course set in the middle of the beautiful Texas Hill Country.  The course can be played backwards to forwards creating a full 18-hole course.  Please bring your own discs.

Horseshoes and Washers

Relax by the gazebo with a cool drink and these classic lawn games.  All equipment is provided.


Skeet Shooting

Picture
Sharpen your shooting skills  or have a friendly competition with your fellow guests.  You must bring your own biodegradable sport clays.  There is a charge of $100 per hour for operation of equipment.  Must have at least a two-week advance notice in order to schedule skeet shoots.
